Budô Curriculum
Shinto Muso Ryu Jo Experience:
- 2006: Begins practicing Seitei Jo in Madrid.
- 2007: Just a few months later, meets Vicente Borondo, who has just
returned from Japan, and begins practicing almost daily under his
supervision.
In August, travels to Kacov, Czech Republic, where he meets Pascal Krieger and the teachers of the EJF for the first time. - 2008: Assists Vicente in organizing the EJF Summer Gasshuku in
Guadarrama and helps establish the SMR Jo Seiryukai group in
Spain.
Meets Nishioka Sensei for the first time during his visit to Madrid to attend the EJF Summer Gasshuku. - 2009: Travels to Japan and participates in the IJF Gasshuku in
Matsumoto, where he has the opportunity to train again under
Nishioka Sensei’s guidance.
Later, he visits Kyushu to explore the birthplace of Shinto Muso Ryu Jo, bringing back an Ofuda from the Kamado Shrine on Mount Homan for the Tai Itsu Kan dojo in Madrid, where he continues training until the passing of Vicente Sensei. - 2010: Passes the Shodan examination (Kagami Biraki, Cartigny, Switzerland).
- 2012: Passes the Nidan examination (Kagami Biraki, Cartigny, Switzerland).
- 2015: Passes the Sandan examination (Kagami Biraki, Cartigny, Switzerland).
- 2016: During the Summer Gasshuku in El Collell, he receives his
first traditional SMR Jo grade, Okuiri-sho, from Pascal Krieger
Sensei.
Begins teaching SMR Jo in Guadarrama, Spain, while continuing to attend classes at the Tai Itsu Kan dojo in Madrid. - 2021: In August, during the XIV Gasshuku de Jo-Do of the Spain & Portugal group in Guadarrama, he receives the Shomokuroku grade from Vicente Borondo, Menkyo-Kaiden of Shinto Muso Ryu Jo.
- 2022: After the passing of Vicente Sensei, he assumes leadership of the Spain & Portugal group alongside Fernando Pérez and Pedro Gil.
- 2024: In April, during the teachers' seminar, he is appointed Shoden of the European Jodo Federation.
Other Budo Experience:
- Began practicing Aikido in 2004 and reached 2nd Dan in 2016. In 2018, he decided to dedicate all his training time to the practice of Shinto Muso Ryu Jo.
